“A woman’s right to her own person includes the right to define and express her own sexuality and to choose her own lifestyle.”  National NOW declared this in 1971, and Kansas NOW stands steadfast in our support of the rights of our lesbian sisters in Kansas.  We strongly opposed the gay marriage amendment and spent countless hours going door to door in opposition.  We consider the passage of the amendment one of the saddest days in Kansas history.  Today, we stand committed to supporting LGBT rights and oppose any infringement upon their rights in our Kansas communities.
